A year after the release of JUNO award-winning Deception BayMilk & Bone returns with the song Ride or Die, off their upcoming retrowave EP (due out in 2019). The EP’s first single was co-produced with Alex Lustig and is the first official collaboration between the Montreal duo and the Belgian producer. Backed by Lustig, Milk & Bone explores new soundscapes. They channel 80’s nostalgia using sharp synths and pumping bass, and sing lyrics that are both heartbreaking and empowering.

It’s the first time Milk & Bone shares new material since they dropped their second album Deception Bay, released February 2018 via Bonsound. That collection of 14 electro-pop songs landed on the Polaris prize long list and earned the duo their second nomination at the ADISQ gala. Following in the footsteps of Little Mourning (2015), Deception Bay explores all facets of love and relationships. While emotions ran high on their debut album, here they present themselves in a new light.

Prior to the holidays, Milk & Bone released the song Trust. Originally written for the movie King Dave, the song quickly became a fan favorite. Last summer, the duo released a rework of their song BBBLUE, called Summertime Sadness Edit with a stunning visual by Soleil Denault.
